Anything you put in your body has the potential to be harmful. Research the medications your on and talk to your Doctor if your concerned.

Good luck

Sure, medication might do some harm to your body. Might. But untreated depression and anxiety will almost surely do harm...in fact, untreated depression can be fatal.

I've never heard that AD's or benzos are particularly known for causing liver or stomach damage, but I could have missed that somewhere. The bigger culprits to those organs are things like lithium, acetimenophen (I know I'm spelling that wrong but I'm too lazy to look it up), NSAIDS, etc. as far as I know. You might try googling it or talking to your doctor about it.

This searchable site might help you in terms of finding out about possible side-effects of psych meds on your liver or stomach: FDA Prescribing Information for Professionals - Drugs.com .

If you find any possible side-effects there then (of course) discuss them with your prescribing doctor.

A lot depends on how the drugs are metabolized. Some are metabolized through the liver, some through the kidneys. Talk to your doctor or do some research to see which organs could be impacted with the drugs. If you're worried, your doctor can schedule bloodwork to see how the organs are performing.
