I was recently (started taking Monday) given Fetzima by my primary care doctor for anxiety issues. Since I started taking it I have had the most severe headaches I have ever had, is this a side effect that anyone else can attest to? I have also been having A LOT of trouble sleeping. These headaches combined with the lack of sleep are making it very difficult to handle work and school. I guess I'm just looking for a little reassurance.

Also, my doctor gave me two weeks worth of Fetzima samples and a prescription for Prozac after, is that normal? Should I be concerned that once I start the Proxac it'll be a whole new round of debilitating side effects?

Each drug the doctors use can affect each patient differently. I am using prozac and it hasn't bothered me at all. I don't know how it will affect you but hopefully you will be like me.
Thanks for this!

I've used Fetzima and prozac with no side effects from either. Everyone is different though and side effects vary. I hope you find something that helps soon.

Thanks guys! Today is actually better, I think the headaches are tapering off and the fuzziness in my brain is less.

Glad you're feeling better. I, too, took Prozac for a long time and never had adverse side effects.
