Say if you suffer from low mood/depression. Just curious if med is a reliable source of energy or more of a placebo effect? Ive experienced some benefit, but nothing dramatic. Actually, my multivitamin gives me some energy

I've taken quite a few different SSRI's & SNRI's over the years. Yes, I guess they were supposed to energize me. But all any of them ever did was to make me sleepy! I've recently gone off of them altogether & I now have the most energy I've had in quite some time...

I find my antidepressant and mood stabilizer to sap my strength. Right now I'm on Ritalin to boost me out of the depressive mood that I have been in.

I just restarted wellbutrin and I can't really tell if it's giving me energy or not. I think it's taken away some of my lack of motivation, but I think that's because it's helping lift me out of a 10 month depression.
My other meds are neutral except for the ambien, klonopin (when I take it at night), and Geodon, which make me sleepy...but don't tend to put me to sleep lately, which is kind of a problem right now. __________________ Diagnoses: Bipolar I, GAD, binge eating disorder (or something), substance abuse, and ADHD. “No great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness.” ― Aristotle |

I take Wellbutrin in the evenings, and Pristiq in the mornings. I feel it should be the other way round. Because in the evenings, Wellbutrin starts to kick in after like 3-4 hours of consumption and it gives me energy boost and will cause partial Insomnia. I'm considering seeing my psychiatrist and see if I can take Wellbutrin in the mornings instead ... |

Yeah definitely get the wellbutrin switched to the morning. Taking it at night makes no sense.

As many others have stated, Wellbutrin definitely gives me energy. I decreased my dose from 450 to 300 because my hands began to shake a little
