Does anyone else out there feel when your medicine begins to wear off? I take my Zoloft at night, and it's now about 21 hours later, and I just felt it wear off. Does that mean I still may need a larger dose? This is annoying. I don't like the jittery anxious feeling I have again. Is this normal? I've been on Zoloft for 4 weeks, and ramped up to 75 mg as of last week.

I thought all meds had a half life where after a certain amount of time they were half as effective as when they were at their peak. They don't just suddenly wear off. You can look up the amount of time that drug X stays in your system online. Apparently the half life of Zoloft is 24 hours, so you may experience a drop off of sorts around that time but by then you should be taking another dose, right? Maybe you metabolize it faster than most people? I don't know.

Yeah it happens to me if I don't take my med every day at the same time; and even sometimes if I do. But I'm on Topamax 200mg. My head will feel funny - like my equilibrium is off. And I start to get irritated. I'd check with your dr if it's the right dose for you now though.
