Hey,
I really feel like quitting my meds right now. I’m feeling good and eventhough I understand I need my meds I really feel like quitting them without telling my physician. I actually already did. I have a hard time understanding why. But I feel like it might be some way to self harm. And because I feel strange for not having as much problems and telling people I’m doing better just feel wrong. It’s nearly like I WANT to feel bad. And my meds make me eat more hwich is something I dislike too. Or at least I think they might. (Don’t have an ed) is this weird? What should I do? Anyone who's had any experience with something alike? |

I think that you should reconsider stopping your meds without physician consult. While you feel good now, you have to think of what the sudden chemical imbalance will do to your emotions. Hopefully you don't experience it, but some people (myself included) have had extreme mental meltdown following a sudden drop in medications.

It can take 5 - 7 days for the medication that you were taking to fully leave your body due to it's half life. You may still be feeling okay but for how long?. Stopping meds all at the same to to zero can be very dangerous mentally and physically.
Please talk to your doctor about stopping |

I've seen cold turkey quits, land people in the hospital. Guess it's your right to come off of meds, it's advisable to have your pdocs taper schedule, each med is different, each person is different.
