I am tapering off klonopin slowly. How will I feel after I am no longer taking
Klonopin? I am going off it because I hear it can cause severe depression, which I had before starting KLonopin. Thank you.

(((Orangefolly))) Are you tapering off your Klonopin under the guidance of a medical professional? Severe withdrawal responses with Klonopin can occur despite gradual dose reduction or from low doses in short time users. Every individual is different but some of the serious side effects can be seizure, mania, psychosis,
Possible trigger:
I experienced all of these except seizure when I attempted to withdraw from Cymbalta on my own. Please be careful. Consult your prescribing physician if your not already doing so. Be safe and be well!!!

I came off benzos after being on one benzo or another daily for greater than 6 years. I'm currently taking Klonopin rarely. I didn't have issues with depression or SI, but I felt almost like I had the flu (chills, fever, body aches) as well as anxiety and irritability for a long time after I stopped. Probably a couple months. It was a rough time. I did come off of a pretty high dose fairly quickly.
I hope your taper goes as smooth as possible.

I didn't have any adverse effects when I came off of klonopin. Even the anxiety for which I was taking, seems to have gone away, of course, I also quit work which might have something to do with that.

Hiya,

The side affects from coming off from klonolpin seem to vary from person to person. Some are greatly affected and some people aren't. Good luck and kudos to you for doing it.
