I was recently switched over to Saphris sublingual from Clozaril because I didn't like the weight gain from Clozaril (I went form 130lbs to 150lbs in just a few weeks).
I think today, after two weeks, I'm starting to come out of the fog. I really think it made me worse for a few days, I felt more paranoid for sure. Can these medications actually make you worse? I hate all these side effects. I have lost weight while taking Saphris so that's a plus. Last edited by Daisydoll29; Mar 31, 2015 at 10:20 AM. |

They side effects depend on the person, but yes I guess it is possible for things to get worse before getting better when switching medications. I didn't have any adverse reactions when I switched to Saphris, but it doesn't mean that you would have the same experience. I hope it works for you. It's done a lot for me.

I just got an increase of this medication to 10 mg at bedtime and I experienced the most terrifying dreams all night long and have a migraine today. |

Definitely call your doctor. I personally haven't had any problems as long as I take when I'm getting in bed. In fact, I don't dream at all that I can remember.
I'm sorry it gave you a migraine as I have experienced those in the past. Best wishes, Gayle Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I did give my pdoc a call instead of just not taking it. He said it was common to have nightmares and that hopefully that would go away. I didn't have any bad dreams last night and I'm feeling better overall today. |
