i have been put onto 15mg mertazapine also known as romocol
i took the medication at 11pm and woke up at 12pm today. i'm still drowsy, my pdoc called and said my body would get used to it soon and i would not be such a zombie for long. has anyone else been on this drug?

least i'm sleeping lmao.

I havent been on or heard of it but i had the same reaction to remeron. Most people get less of a drowsy effect as the dose goes up on remeron....i just couldnt wake up at all....even when i was awake...haha

jinny did you mean Mirtazapine, if so this is the med dec been on for about a year

yes tht's the one. feel completely out of it. only been awake for about 2 hours today. does it get any better?

i'm only on 15mg - do i give it a week? cant go on being zombified lol, dont seem to have any feelings or emotions either
thanks i looked at those posts, i'll have to give them a try i suppose, been waiting long enough.

meds take at least 4 weeks to get into the system properly to see if they are working, the zombie side should settle down, i hope they have found the right med for you

I was on a med (Geodon) that made me so sleepy that I fell asleep at work & while driving. I quit it in 4 days. No way was I going to go through that for 4 weeks or something to see if it got better. It was dangerous for me to be on that drug.--Suzy
