Just started lamictal three days ago. 25mg a day. I found a patch of bumps by my right bottom eyelid... I'm worried this might be either the benign rash or even SJS. Can anyone look at the pic attached and give their opinion? Ultimately I'll go see my doc tomorrow but in the meanwhile was looking to see if anyone thinks anything

It..could be. It's probably not. It's actually really rare. Do see your doc. They'll probably take you off of the lamictal regardless. It's kind of a CYA thing and kind of a not worth the risk deal.

Usually before the rash begins, people have a productive cough, headache, generally tired/just crappy feeling and joint pain.

The rash is usually symmetrical, (It looked like yours was only on one side), and is a burning rash that begins on the face and the upper torso area. It's usually macular to start with, meaning flat, red and then changes to any number of kinds of lesions.
I would go in sooner than tomorrow, like to the ER if it begins to spread extensively or starts to involve your eye. Although rare, it's pretty serious.
Hope it turns out to be nothing.

It looks like what I had on my arms and legs when I started taking lamictal. My doctor took me off if it immediately, but it wasn't serious.

With the serious rash, the top layer of skin becomes disconnected from the bottom layer. You end up in a burn unit at a hospital.

Obviously, yours doesn't look that bad. But I hope you had it checked out anyway.

I'm guessing you've been to the doc by now.

The rash is supposedly "rare" but that is based on its incidence in drug trials. As with MANY side effects, the actual occurance rate is much different....that is, it isn't as "rare" as the literature suggests.

Any rash with lamictal will result in your doc taking you off on it, just in case.

My "rash" was a bit rare in that I had peeling in my mouth. So gross, but my doc was taking no chances.

I was on serequil and that worked really well but got the restless leg syndrome pretty bad had to stop it.
