Mine are listed in my signature. I've never been on Brintellix, so I don't know anything about it.

Mine are listed in my signature. If the zyprexa doesn't start working soon, we're going to switch to abilify.

Hi Blue Ball. My daughter started taking Invega right out of the hospital. The first 13 days after she had very bad pain in the back of her neck .It did take away her psychosis though. I really dont want her to continue with this med. Also she has a high prolactin level with her blood test. I know everyone is different with these meds. She is waiting to see another doc so we'll see. Be careful with these meds. What was your experience? thanks

*What meds am I on- The ones I choose
*Brintellix (vortioxetine)- is interesting because it is one of the first 5-HT7 antagonists as also an SSRI. That asks the big question. What are the side effects short and long term? I have debated starting it. When there is lexapro at 5- 10 mg with a track record and with the luxury of tweaking with such a low therapeutic range. Still lexapro can contribute to frontal lobe apathy
Tired but throw out some studies and maybe a meta:
Vortioxetine (Brintellix): A New Serotonergic Antidepressant
Medscape: Medscape Access

Concerning specifically depression and anxiety:
The 5-HT7 receptor plays a role in smooth muscle relaxation within the vasculature and in the gastrointestinal tract.[1] The highest 5-HT7 receptor densities are in the thalamus and hypothalamus, and it is present at higher densities also in the hippocampus and cortex. The 5-HT7 receptor is involved in thermoregulation, circadian rhythm, learning and memory, and sleep. It is also speculated that this receptor may be involved in mood regulation, suggesting that it may be a useful target in the treatment of depression
5-HT7 receptor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Very in depth-
BMC Psychiatry | Full text | Vortioxetine in the treatment of adult patients with major depressive disorder: a meta-analysis of randomized double-blind controlled trials
Vortioxetine, a novel antidepressant with multimodal activity: Review of preclinical and clinical data
Serotonin 5-HT7 receptor agents: structure-activity relationships and potential therapeutic applications in central nervous system disorders
5-HT7 receptors as modulators of neuronal excitability, synaptic transmission and plasticity: physiological role and possible implications in autism spectrum disorders
Anecdotal reports:
Always take them with a grain of salt. The people that are not having results.Tend to be the ones that bother to post. That said. Looking at the persons length of time on the med , dose, and other things should all be thought off.
* It can still give you a conversational summary of patients with enough responses to talk to your pdoc and other health providers with!*

As always talk to your mental and health team. They are the go to people but go in there remembering:
Information is knowledge for your health care!
I hope this helps,
Good Luck!
