After almost two months of trying to adjust to Viibryd, I just couldn't take it anymore. My body actually reached a point where each dose felt like I was putting poison into it. The headaches were not going away and new side effects were developing like extreme fatigue and increased anxiety. I met with pdoc and we discussed just going back on Zoloft because in all the years, it really has been the best med I've been on for my body and the sensitivity I have to almost everything else. I does help greatly with my anxiety and mostly with the depression - it just never seems to make me feel really "alive" and motivated like I have a passion for anything. Has anyone else ever had similar experiences with Viibryd and/or Zoloft?

The only SSRI that has helped me feel "alive" is Prozac. It is the only psych med to ever actually help my depression.

I felt really numb on Zoloft. I think I was depressed on it but I didn't feel it. I just sat around doing nothing. Docs wanted me back on it because it "worked so well"... Eh. I'm on a different med now and I feel alive, it's quite important for me to actually have some good in my life, not just be pain free.

Yeah, I felt pretty numb on Zoloft too, which is why I actually switched in the first place. I just hate the phases of trying new drugs and all the crazy side effects. I tried so many different ones and had side effects to all. I've told pdoc maybe being on nothing is even better than being on the Zoloft and feeling numb.

I love Zoloft. Very minor side effects starting out, and it greatly helps control my anxiety and OCD.

Emotional numbness is very common with SSRI's, same thing happens to me.

Was the only SSRI I felt that same numbness on. For some they might act the same, but they were very different for me.
