Hello,i have tried lexapro, buspar for my anxiety/panic attacks and nothing seemed to work until i tried Paxil, has worked great last few yrs,but has done nothing for my depression,so doc added cymbalta, well went to pick up my Rx and pharmacist said i can't take both together. So i quit my Paxil cus my depression has gotten outta hand, and wanted to try Cymbalta, still going through the with drawls of Paxil, manageable i guess have felt worse, but my anxiety is increasing.
So my question is what anxiety med can i take with my cymbalta? Anyone have this experience? tia, Carly |

can you talk to your dr. i am fortunate that buspar worked great for me. i wonder if you can take zoloft with cymbalta, or even instead. it is an AD that works for anxiety as well.

Anxiolytic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia lists a lot of meds you can potentially use. Also, not listed on that page, antipsychotics can sometimes help anxiety and especially intrusive thoughts that sometimes come with anxiety.

I take klonopin and seroquel for anxiety on top of my anti-D. Some dt's are really hesitant to prescribe klonopin, or any of the other benzodiazepenes, because they are addictive. But used properly they can be a lifesaver. Low dose seroquel (and a-typical antipsychotic) is prescribed a lot here for anxiety and I find it works really well. Just really research it well before going on it, because antipsychotics are pretty heavy duty drugs and can come with some nasty side effects.
