My script ran out early a week before I can get another script. Does any one else run out a week early and how well do they go thru the week without. It's like stopping cold turkey! This happened to me before but only 5 days. That was bad enough, this time it's 9 days.
I mostly get irritable and lose my patience faster but don't totally freak out or go throw massive withdrawals. I was just wondering how common it was running out of your benzo a week or so before it's time. and how well u do waiting until u can get a new script ![]() |

I don't ever run out, I rarely take it. You can usually fill 3 days before your "due date" at most pharmacies. I'd be worried about two things 1) why are you continually running out early? And 2) there's a risk, less than w other benzos due to its long half life, but a risk of seizure w abrupt withdrawal. You probably need to call your doc and explain what's going on

If you're regularly running out before your prescription is due, you need to talk to your Dr. You're either abusing it, or the prescription isn't high enough. Better to level with the Dr., and get the right prescription and then stick to it. I ran out of Klonopin once, and had to wait 3 days to get it. I thought I'd died and gone to hell I was so sick. Now I make sure I don't run out.

I don't dare run out of Klonopin. I am down to one tablet a day, but I know I'll have withdrawal if I don't take that. It was a struggle to get down to this low dose. I agree. Talk to your doc about why you're running out.

Yea right, the last thing you want to do is tell your pdoc your running out early lol, unless u want to lose you script for good. No, this is nothing new for me and no biggie. I can weather it out. Been thru this with just about every benzo at one time or another. Once I even stopped willingly after 8 months cold turkey, but I think it's easier when you want to stop verses running out a week early.
I don't want to rock the boat. I'm lucky enough to find a pdoc willing to subscribe them to me. Every 4 months he warns me that they are addicting. Look doc, breathing is addicting to ![]() It's the only thing that actually works for my anxiety. |

I've run out early before and the only problem I had was rebound anxiety. No illness or anything like that.
