What is Invega? I gave a patient Invega today, but we don't have any info on it yet. I hate not knowing much about a medication when I have to give it to a patient.

 I'm extremely confused here? I'm not sure what you do either as far as where you work and your title (nurse etc.). Are you working for doctors who prescribed this medication for the patient? Is it you were the one passing it along and just want to know about the medicine going to the patient? I myself haven't heard of the medicine and I'm going to look it up. I hope that the one's prescribing know a lot about this drug though because you stated "WE" don't have any info on it yet .... So i'm really not sure why whoever it is prescribing it would be doing that without the knowlege? Maybe I'm not following here though ? *shrugs* ~E __________________

Active metabolite of risperdal, thus no different at all. Marketing ploy to make more $$ only.
