Is anyone taking or ever tried Brintellix? My dr just changed me to it yesterday from another antidepressant. Just wondering how it affected other people who may have tried it or are currently taking it.

I have been taking Brintellix since November. I am taking 20mg. I have had positive results. I felt a little better within a week and about 3 weeks later it really kicked in. I take it at night and a have had no side effects.

I just started taking it two weeks ago so not sure how it will work for me. The first week had little noticeable effect but when I increased the dose the second week it kept me awake (I have learned to take in daytime), caused mild anxiety and suppressed my appetite. The reason I wanted to add a med was because I was sleeping 12+ hours per day so it has helped that. Unfortunately just because I am awake doesn't mean I am productive.

Thanks for the responses. I'm hopeful that this will be the med that works for me. The only issue I have is the cost - my copay is $55. I know it could be worse, but that's a lot (in my opinion) for a month's supply.
