Heard about this new drug being tested for addicts. It helps control cravings - or rather the triggers in the brain that send craving messages.
Do you think it may have a place in the psych world to control emotional triggers? Altered State

?? I can't see how. It is a derivitive of GABA, and like benzos may calm the sideffects etc.

Sorry Doc, no site. I saw a documentary on addiction (mostly hard-core meth / crack users) and this drug was mentioned as showing incredibly high positive results for controlling behaviours during active cravings (resulting from triggers of all sorts - not just the physical).
The MRI scans were quite impressive to see. I thought that if it could control behaviours of addicts, it could possibly control behaviours that I also "crave." AS
