For years I was diagnosed with major depression and wondered why non of the antidepressants worked for me...now I come to find out I actually have a mild schizophrenia...what meds work best for people with this? I know there are a lot of variables in symptoms and such and I am currently taking a generic Thorazine and it is lifting the cloud...what other meds are people finding useful? So confused right now...

There are a wide number of anti-psychotic medications available (Thorazine is one of them). They are generally prescribed for people suffering psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. There is no one medication that works for everyone. Thorazine is a good start to see if it works for you. But keep your doctor updated on how it's going, because there are always others out there if it's not workingror if the side effects are affecting you. Also, medications like these take time to have a therapeutic effect. Give it time.

I'm on several medications but the particular AP that really works for me and is controlling most of my symptoms is Invega Sustenna which is a monthly injection
