Hey all..I've been on Wellbutrin for the last five weeks and have a med review with my doctor on Friday.

I'm just wondering when you know the med isnt working or you need to add something. I feel a bit of a boost but still not great. Some days are okay almost verging on good. Others are incredibly rough. I've definitely experienced the Wellbutrin rollercoaster that people talk of which has been tough. I struggle with depression/ anxiety and an avoidant personality.

When did you feel like it was time to change or add something else to the routine?

If 150 is giving you some good days, ask about 300. Even consider a combo. I had to keep tinkering for years. It can be a moving target, but keep changing until you find the combo. You are smart by giving meds at least 5 weeks to settle in!

Keep us posted!

The only thing I am hesitant about going up to 300 is that it can increase anxiety which would be rough for me. That being said I know for some it can help with anxiety as well. I'm thinking my doc will want to add on an ssri in addition and see how that goes. I'm paranoid about side effects which is why we went with the wellbutrin to begin with.
Thanks!

Hey MarleyCat,

I come from the Anxious, Sleep as much as possible camp as well. My favorite combo was Wellburtin 300mg and Paxil 30mg. Paxil is very good for anxiety if you ask me.

Good luck and please keep us posted.
