I started on it a couple months ago for depression (and some anxiety, but depression is my primary concern right now). I'd tried some SSRIs with varying success in the past. Then tried Effexor (another SNRI), which seemed to have negative psychological effects on me. Tried Cymbalta a bit reluctantly (started at 60 mg), and it seemed to help a bit without much in the way of side effects (except for a bit of sleepiness). Was having more issues with depression the past week, so p-doc increased me to 90 mg. Within a few hours of taking the first increased dose, it was like a switch went off, and I felt much better.

Let me know if you want any more info.
Good luck!

Glad they fixed the dosage for you. Does it help with exercise and feeling somewhat energetic? How about metabolism or weight loss?

It hasn't made me feel much more energetic really, but I generally have low energy, whether I'm on a med or not. Also, right now depression is my biggest concern, but I have generalized anxiety and panic disorder, too, and I've found when I take a med that's somewhat energizing, it ramps up my anxiety. Prozac, which I tried 6 months ago, is a good example of that. I had more energy and felt less depressed, but I was a nervous wreck!

It hasn't seemed to have an effect on my weight. Paxil caused a bit of weight gain for me (like 10 pounds or so, but I'm generally fairly thin), and I've lost a few of those pounds since being off the Paxil.

Hope that helps!
