Just a question for the Wellbutrin takers....Do you pair it with an SSRI? If so which one do you use and has it decreased some of the benefits of the Wellbutrin? Particularly increased motivation and energy, decreased appetite and sexual side effects.

So far it has done nothing to help my anxiety so It was suggested that I try an SSRI.
Thanks

I take Wellbutrin and Prozac and it has been a good experience. My little anxiety attacks are manageable. I still have motivation. I have energy. My appetite is still low, but not bad. No sexual side effects. I think I want to have sex more now. Lol. The Abilify hasn't had much side effects either (maybe even more motivation), but I take that for psychosis. Everybody is different though...

I take it with Lexapro. It did help to counter some of the sexual side effects of the Lexapro (inability to orgasm) but did nothing for my energy, motivation or appetite. I've been unusually on edge lately so my doc lowered the dosage. It's been working well until tonight for some reason.

generally a ssri is precribed with wellbutrin because anxiety tends to increase with wellbutrin and an some times wellbutrin is not enough for deep depression. I've taken zoloft with wellbutrin. I've had mixed results with it.

The pdoc I saw suggested Paxil but after doing some reading it seems to be the ssri with the most sexual side effects and the Welbutrin has been helping with that. I did only increase to 300xl a week and a half ago somaybe the anxiety will level out. Not lookig promising though

The thing with sexual side effects (and any side effects, really) is that they vary from person to person. So you may not have sexual side effects from Paxil
