Hello,
How do you personally (with your doctor) decide whether to try an increased dose or switch meds altogether? |

We just talk about it. I bring up concerns. He brings up concerns. I explain what I think is/will/won't work. He takes it all under consideration. We make all med decisions together.
I realize not all pdocs are open to that kind of give and take. Personally, if that was the case, I'd find a new pdoc. |

Mine and I talk back and forth, too. I ask his opinion, tell him my thoughts and concerns and we come up with an agreed upon plan.

Mine said that if a med seemed to be having some sort of positive effect, it makes more sense to increase that than to try a new one.

I have a new pdoc and hes wonderful. He actually listens and we discuss my meds and how we both feel theyre working for me. He always takes my thoughts into consideration before he makes a change. My last pdoc was the opposite so I know how blessed I am.
