Hi there,
I'm a mama of two beautiful
Children. I'm currently breastfeeding my 4.5 month old and wondering if anyone has taken Lexapro or Celexa while breastfeeding?
Has it changed supply? Any issues? Did it make a difference?

No personal experience. Giving your post a bump up, in case hasn't been seen, yet. There's not much out there for literature that discusses milk supply levels while on an SSRI, only discussion of whether it reaches milk supply. I cannot personally imagine why it would or wouldn't affect milk production? I have been under the impression that it's a combination of hormones and nutrition and a physiological need to produce.

Hopefully someone who has personal experience sees this and can better answer from personal perspective.

Welcome to Psych Central (PC). Thanks for introducing yourself. It appears Lexapro is in the same family as Celexa. More info here Lexapro: The Son of Celexa | Psych Central Professional
