Was on 10mg Paxil for 8 years and did great on it

I tapered down to 5 mg and was not doing so great

So my doc said go back on

I did - back up to 10mg - was better but not feeling normal

So she said go to 20mg

I did that 5 months ago and the next day I felt so horrible!!!!

Like I fell into a foggy numb zombiefied darkness for 3 months!

Now I have some good days and even a week or 2 that I feel good and normal

But this up and down crap is for the birds!!!

Should I wait it out, switch meds or try to add buspar?

Anyone know why the increased dose had such a intense effect on me?

Any thoughts?

I would talk to your pdoc again and see if a lower dose might eliminate brain fog and keep you stable.
