Hello all! My mother started her Wellbutrin SR two days ago... I looked at her prescription after she was complaining about a headache, and she was supposed to start on 150mg once a day for a week... Instead, she has been taking 150mg 2x a day for a couple days.

Will this hurt her if her dose is this high, this soon?

Why is she taking it twice a day when it was recommended once a day? Did her doc say to take two?

You can have a very negative response at that high of a dosage right off the bat, heck, I had a bad response from taking 150 once a day for a few weeks.
Thanks for this!

Let me clarify. The script says 150mg a day for a week, then up to 150mg 2x a day after this.. She didn't read the script, apparently.

It probably won't hurt her, but she'd likely feel more side effects that way, which I think the headache is. It's good to start lower on meds and work your way up, so your body has time to adjust. Maybe she should switch to just 150 once a day for the next 5 days, then go up.
Thanks for this!
