I have been on abilify for 4 weeks. At first I noticed my legs felt heavy. It has eased up a bit but I find that when I am physically active (specifically dancing), after 10 minutes my muscles aren't working the way they used too. It's like my legs aren't strong anymore, they are like heavy wet noodles. I see my psychiatrist in another week, and am thinking I should bring it up. I'm just worried he may excuse or as me just being out of shape since my depression kept me from working out.
Any experiences? Also, if you have experiences this have you guys found any exercises that are easier. I can do 15 mins on the elliptical without symptoms. If anyone has thoughts please let me know. I really need to be able to work out because I feel like exercise combats my depression better than most, if not all, medication I've tried. |
