So my doctor told me now that I'm switched to Abilfy that I could just stop the Lamictal. So about 3 days ago, I took my final 100 mg dose and then stopped taking it. Since then, my body has been in chaos mode. I felt like almost seizing after watching something with a lot of flashing lights, my head is extremely wobbly and it feels super heavy, and I've been fatigued to the point of not being able to do much, but yet, I'm so restless internally that I can hardly sleep, and finally, my head is pounding like a drum. I've withdrawal cold turkey off of Lexapro and it wasn't half as bad as this. I took a Klonopin the other night to help me relax, and I felt a little more normal. I think that the issue is a rebound increase in CNS functioning, but I'm not sure? Has anyone else gone through the same thing with Lamictal? And the most worrying symptom... When I'm driving, I start to feel dissociated. Like I'm watching from a camera almost. I have zero emotion on my face and I just don't think at all... Is this normal? Thanks!

I'm not sure, I'm on Depakote as a mood stabilizer, like Lamictal it's also an anti seizure drug meaning if you stop it suddenly even if you're not taking it for seizures, you can have one which is what happened to me. I would call your doctor and tell them what's going on

I have tried to stop Lamictal. I had kind of the same effects. Didnt work out well for me. Had to taper off. But now I am back on it anyway.
