I was on 150mg. Then I started taking Fetzima and went to 75mg Effexor for a week. No today I quit taking Effexor all together and am taking Fetzima. Wish me luck.

Good luck If you haven't had any problems yet then you may be one of the lucky ones who don't.

Good luck. Effexor is a very unforgiving drug. Crossing my fingers for you!

Oh ... Fetzima is an SSNRI. You shouldn't have any trouble.

Yeah that is what my pdoc said too. I don't know how much truth there is in it.

I think I am one of the lucky ones as I have quit taking it a number of times in the past quite quickly without any trouble. At least not that I remember.

Either Fetzima or the combination of the two is quite activating I am noticing. Probably won't be able to sleep tonight.

Also the weirdest thing is that in one spot in both my nasal passages have become super sensitive. I feel like I have to sneeze all the time but can't. Weirdest side effect I have ever had.

Yes, another snri should help but it sounds like you are one of the lucky ones. Good for you Last time I stopped I was given a low does of prozac...ssri I think? It helped the withdrawal/DS. But it didn't help with depression. Hope it works out well for you.

I'm currently tryng to switch from 150 mg Effexor XR to Fetzima and I feel TeRrIbLe. I mean, like garbage. My NP was pretty flippant about my concerns with weening off of Effexor- I have tried this before and it feels aweful and takes weeks to get back to normal. I wish Dr's and NP's would take this more seriously. He gave me no 75 mg Effexor to use.
