Can you start taking 300 mg of Bupropion/Wellbutrin?

The last time, I took 150 mg for one month, and 3 months of 300 mg. I didn't wean off it at the end, and didn't have any side-effects.

The 150 mg didn't do much for me, hence I wonder whether I should re-start taking it starting with 300 mg.

The plan is to take it the whole winter, which is the darkest period for me.

300mg always has worked best for me, but my pdoc generally starts me at 150mg usually for a week before he has me increase to 300mg. I've been on it enough times he knows I won't have problems with the dosage, but a bit of a titration up is still prudent.

Im on 150mg and that's where I started. Im not sure how its really working for me as Ive been pretty flat lately.

Our chemistries can change over time and though 300 mg may have been the optimal dose for treatment at one point, it may or may not be now. It is still prudent as mentioned above to taper up with 150 mg and see how it goes before going to the 300 mg. Also there are less chances of side effects of increasing too much, too fast.

I hope you find the right dose soon.

Ugh, my doc started me on 300 before and it pisses me off. I needed 300 but these drugs take us awhile to get used to... That's generally why they start us at lower dose. You should give your body s chance to get used to the drug... I wouldn't start at 300. After awhile I was fine but at first I felt like I had taken 300 cups of coffee.
