I started the lowest dose of zyprexa and my eating disorder completely went away and I wanted to eat again. How can this happen???

No psychiatric medication simply "cures" anything. The olanzapine simply increased your appetite.

Zyprexa is sometimes used to lessen/stop intrusive thoughts. I'm no expert on eating disorders, but from what I've read about it it usually goes together with a lot of eating- and self-esteem-related intrusive thougts. Maybe that's also the case for you?

I have bulimia/anorexia and if anything I find that some meds make me more hungry but deff not a cure for any ED. I wish!
