Sorry in advance if this has been asked before (I'm new here)

basically i've been on a low dosage of lamictal combined with cymbalta, and they were working 'ok' until i had a relapse. Last week my dosage of lamictal was increased and since then I feel numb - not manic or depressed, but I've gone from feeling too much to basically feeling nothing, and i was wondering if anyone has had the same experience or could offer some advice?

thank you!

Hello lilacflame: Unfortunately I can't really answer your question. I've been on both Cymbalta & Lamictal, but not at the same time. Cymbalta was actually the best SNRI I ever took. I went off of it because I changed health insurance plans & the out-of-pocket cost went through the proverbial roof. I developed the Lamictal rash when I went on that med. I think the best thing to do here is to talk this over with you prescribing physician. I know that I am personally quite sensitive to most medications. They tend to just knock me out. It may be that, as your body adjusts to the new dosage of Lamictal, you'll feel better. These things can take time. My best wishes to you...

I'm on week 7 of Lamictal at 150mg having started at 25mg - going to 200 mg next week. I honestly haven't felt it help my depression or anxiety at all yet. If anything, I've been much more weepy than I was before - more emotionally depressed than "zoned out" depressed. I'm not sure if it's because several things in my life are completely falling apart making me more depressed, or the Lamictal just doesn't work for me.
