Neurontin was a life saver for me .... I was diagnosed with BPD and was on Klonapin ... The off Label use is for BPD but there is little bit known about the off label use ...

I will stand by Nuerontin and state that it has done wonders for me

Its great for anxiety also

I only know from what MS patients say in group... that it is a nasty drug sometimes, but if it helps use it. I would wonder why you aren't on something that works specifically for panic attacks, rather than the heavy hitter of neurontin.

Have you tried the ssri's that help with depression and anxiety? IDK... if you have and they don't work, then I guess trying this is what you need to do.

I would question the doc about it though. neurotin for panic attacks

be well.

Yeah, I looked it up real quick. It looks like it'd be a sort of "last resort" type of thing if other meds for anxiety have been tried but failed.

I used to take Neurontin for both anxiety and bipolar, was on it about a year. It was a lousy mood stabilizer, but worked great for the anxiety. Pdoc says he only prescribes it for anxiety now--I guess other people had experiences similar to mine. I didn't feel any side-effects from taking it after the first week or so.

Neurontin was a lifesaver for me. It works great for anxiety with no side effects. It is also sometimes used as a mood stabilizer in combination with antidepressant.
