I'm currently on 15mg of Remeron, and it worked great in the beginning. Unfortunately, however, it has stopped working. I feel depressed and like I'm on an emotional roller coaster.

Could this be because I haven't been taking it every night, too? Maybe it's because I started smoking marijuana again? What do you guys think I should do?

I believe that 15 mg is the starting dose for Remeron. If you're taking it for depression, then you could also try 30 or 45 mg/day (prescribed by your doctor, of course.)

I would call, yes. I take Remeron. I started off taking it primarily for sleep issues and was taking only 7.5-15 mg at bedtime.

My depression got worse early this fall, though, and my doctor increased the dose to 30 mg. I have found that the increased dose has helped my mood to be more stable. It took around 4-6 weeks for this improvement to really settle in, though.

I need mine for sleep, so I can't comment on skipping doses.

I also don't really know what to say about the marijuana use. Some people say that it helps their mental health, while others say that it makes their mood unstable and causes anxiety or paranoia. You could always experiment with not using marijuana for a couple of months to see if you notice a difference in your mood.

I hope you start to feel better soon. I think this is a tough time of year, what with short days and the holidays going on, but there is a definite probability that increasing your Remeron dose would be helpful.
