I've been on antidepressants for maybe like two months now. First I was on Prozac for about six weeks, and now I've been on Lexapro for maybe two weeks. Before I was on medicine, I had suicidal thoughts maybe a couple of times a weeks at the most. But now I'm having them daily, and sometimes they're more serious than they were before. Is this because of the medicine? Do you guys have experience with this? What should I do about it?

It's possible for antidepressants to make you feel more suicidal, that's listed as a warning. Contact your doctor and if you feel like acting on the thoughts go to the ER

Yes, that's definitely a possible side effect. When I was on Effexor, then Cymbalta, I had thoughts
Possible trigger:
, when I hadn't done or thought about that in about 18 years. I've learned that I probably can't be on SNRIs for that reason. Also, I found Prozac and Wellbutrin greatly increased my anxiety and had to stop them. Currently on Zoloft, but it's not helping as much as I'd like for both depression and anxiety.
Possible trigger:
Kind of afraid to try something else though...

I would call your doctor ASAP and tell them about it. I had a big increase in depression / suicidal thoughts both times I tried to take Cymbalta. I definitely think sometimes certain meds just don't play nice with certain kinds of brain chemistry.
