Not just meds, but supplements as well, if you take them. I just counted, and I take 18 pills on a daily basis; more if I need a pain med or have an anxiety attack.

Now that it's winter:
1 scrip (singulair) for seasonal allergies 1 immune support supplement (echinacea, zinc, etc.) plus as usual: 2 individual supplements for specific deficiencies 2 different multi-vitamins (each are 2 per day; I take one of each to get a balance of ingredients/strengths I prefer) on days I have a migraine: between 1 and 2 imitrexes between 1 and 4 medium dose aspirins between 1 and 2 naproxen sodiums on some days that I have severe anxiety: up to half a xanax or klonopin (but never on the same day that I take migraine meds) and no other prophylactic scrips currently. So, between 9 and 14 pills a day now that it's winter or between 7 and 14 in general. And yet this doesn't seem like "much" to me, compared to other times in my life. It's more than I really realized; I coordinate them across the day with meals to make sure I'm not taking anything on an empty stomach, and over the years I've gained a lot of weight just because of trying to make sure I don't give myself an ulcer when I have a lot of pills to take. __________________ “We use our minds not to discover facts but to hide them. I'm down to 9! I was on 24.
Edit: not counting PRN meds. If I take all my prescribed PRN meds I'm on 12 and if I take stuff for headache I'm on however many additional ones it takes to beat the headache. |

I generally take less than 2mg xanax (or equivalent klonopin) in a whole month, as sparing as I am with it. Only when I'm having an extraordinarily difficult time getting to sleep or know I'm going to be in an unusually high stress situation. In retrospect I really should have taken it early Xmas day, driving my mom and her husband an hour each way through New York City, arguing with me and each other the entire way about which highways and tunnels each of them thought I ought to be taking despite that the GPS was already continuously updating where the least traffic was going to be. Good god. I'm still recovering. __________________ “We use our minds not to discover facts but to hide them.
