My gf is on 1mg of risperdone twice a day. And her finger is twitching and her boobs are really sore. Doctor told her to take the dosage once a day? Are these side effects normal?

Its well known that men and women can actually lactate while using Risperdone! That could be where the tenderness comes from.
I haven't heard though wether that lessens with time or not. |

I started to lactate about 3 weeks after starting Risperidone at .5 mg, so that could be causing the breast tenderness, and yes hand tremors are a side effect. She should discuss these side effects with her prescriber.

Breast tenderness is a side effect as well as lactation. She should get her prolactin levels checked since risperdal increases it. However I've been on and off 4mgs and never had that problem but everyone is different.

Thank y'all for responding her pdoc took her off and now she's on Geodon!
