I'm not on much but feel free to respond I will get it within a week. No offence to anyone, but I tend to read to many post and it becomes a trigger for me. So I keep my visits limited.

I just wanted to share the excitement that I have been fighting to remain stable with my Bipolar and I think I won! A few years ago I thought I was at the best I could. Hospitalized at least 4 to 5 times a year, only one attempt..... But mostly due to giving up and not taking my meds "What the "h**l they didn't work anyway. We increased my dosages to max amount because I refused to "Add an other" (Lamictal, Seroquil, klonopin). worked a little better, I guess, only hospitalized twice that year. I really tried my best that time around. My last hospital visit a doctor there talked with me in-depth about using Lithium. I rolled my eyes and gave up and said "Fine what ever" "See ya in a few months" We added lithium with my doubts.

IS BEEN OVER A YEAR!!!! since I've been back there! Finally I have faith and know I can make it work - - - I just have to take my medications, because, believe it or not - the right ones in the right combination really DO WORK! And I really feel like I can live a normal (as normal) life! Hang in everyone there is "the right combo" out there

Hooray! My mother was a whole different person once she got on lithium. It was a miracle drug for her too.

Lithium has helped me tremendously. I feel like a new person.
It has helped my anxiety, confidence, depression.
I like myself. I love life again! I am outgoing, laughing, normal.
It is a miracle to me, too!

Lithium has been a great med during the 4yrs I've been on it. Make sure you drink lots of water to keep it washed out of your system after its used. I've found ibuprofen slows the detoxification of Lithium, and may increase the chance of toxicity, so I avoid that.

I'm so glad for you. I just started taking Lithium again but at a really low dose because I had taken it before and my doctor didn't want me on it because I was a little manic. What do you call it...hypomanic. I finally felt like myself though and so I convinced him to let me try it again. Lithium worked for my mom so hopefully it works for me. Right now I'm dealing with the side effects which aren't too bad I just shake a lot (which I already do on Geodon) and I have insomnia (which doesn't matter as long as I take my Geodon 2 hours before bedtime.
