Hi,
I'm currently taking 900 mg of Lithium for BP. I started this after all the AD's and AP's made me manic. I'm pretty level headed now but am starting to go into a depression again. Not really sure how to describe it but I feel severely disassociated, anxious and lethargic. The energy I had just a month ago is fading.
Is there any other BP's out there that have had to add other meds to their mood stabilizer during depressive states or on a continuous basis. If so ..which combos have worked best for you to mellow out the highs and lows..

How long have you been on the lithium? You may not have reached the therapeutic range yet, is your doc checking your levels with blood tests?

Im on 1500 and im myself again

Bipolar. It has really helped me. With this drug you have to be patient and listen to your doctor because it may take a while for a therapeutic level to get into the bloodstream and therefore work how its supposed to.

Yes lithium is a salt so it will dehydrate you to an extent. I drink at least 2-3L of water a day, but i live in the tropics.
I have had to add seroquel to my lithium, but I am really sensitive to all psych meds and a slight change in my dose has a huge effect on me.

AS mentioned above have you had your lithium levels done.
