I am really struggling here. I have PTSD. I have gone off seroquel after gaining weight on and I have lost 3 lbs in a week.
Sonata, melatonin and valerian are not effective in putting me to sleep. I've run out of lunesta and have asked my doctor to renew my subscription. If that doesn't come through then I'm going to ask my doctor to renew my ambien. I know those are short term. I have asked my nurse about prazisone as I have read it helps with nightmares in PTSD. I am at a real loss here. Any suggestions? |

You always have to weigh the pros and cons in any situation in life. If Seroquel was helping with your PTSD and insomnia, but was increasing your appetite (causing weight gain), why would you want to stop taking Seroquel? I take Seroquel (probably a dose higher than what you were taking--800mgs), and with diet and exercise I was able to maintain my weight. I hope you feel better soon. |
