Has anyone lost weight on Lamictal? When I first was prescribed Wellbutrin it helped to control my appetite. But then I was prescribed Lamictal later and it further suppressed my appetite (more so in the first week). I lost a few pounds those first few days before my appetite came back to "normal." But I'm still continuing to loose. Which is fine with me because I've put on quite a few pounds with other meds. I have adjusted my diet to not as much junk food as i did before, but its still is baffling to me. Has this happened to anyone else?

My Dad has been on Lamictal for several months now. He & I have not noticed a change in his appetite nor has he changed his diet, but we have noticed a change in his weight. He is losing. He had put on quite a few pounds due to some other medications so he is not upset by it at this point but I am keeping an eye on things meanwhile.

I take Lamictal, but it's not the only med I take.

I haven't noticed a suppression in appetite, but everyone's different.
Thanks for this!
