Today I finally Took my .25 Klonopin ( for anxiety and panic disorder) ...at 2pm and its now 2:45pm....I feel a little Droopy...and my head feels heavy...no calming feeling yet...I still feel very anxious.

But I would like support and comfort cause I'm really scared, So if you would be so kind to PM me or respond to this forum, I would be very thankful!

Way to go!!!

You probably don't feel a great relief due the the way increased anxiety of taking it. The other times, without that anxiety, should help really well. Also, some ppl have to take a bit more. I think it will be better relief next time though. I did that as well.

Also, klonopin is a good drug in that it's slower in and out, so not such drastic effects.

Good job!

KD

Congratulations on taking the step! I know it's been hard for you working up to this point. Good Job!!

What you are feeling is normal with the droopies. Some folks get used to it after awhile and don't get that feeling anymore. It may take some time for your system to get used to taking it, but that too is normal. After a couple of doses (taken as prescribed) you should begin to feel the benefits of it.

Hang in there, you are doing a great job!

Hugssss

Congrats Noncomp! I realize how hard that must have been for you. Like the other said, you will probably become more accustomed to the droopy feeling if you do decide to continue taking it as it's just something new in your body right now. I really hope you get some relief from your anxiety and some good rest.

It was a .25...and I took it at 2pm and Its 6:35 now And The calming effect wore off, It lasted 4 hours....I thought it was gonna last 6 to 8 but I guess I need a .5 for that...But thank you for the support!

Hurray! For all of you that know me and my phobia of meds... Isn't it nice to find something that helps?

Is Klonopin the same as Clonazepam? I've taken Clonazepam when I'm going into an anxious situation that I know will trigger me. It does calm me down, but also causes me to be depressed. Wish I had the same experience you do. But it does work well on my anxiety and I don't have to take it regularly so I guess being emotional is ok.

dude, you're probably asleep by now.
it's a tranquilizer and it makes you drowsy.
it's safe and not prone to abuse....especialy at the dose you're taking.
i'd say from reading your posts you will benefit quite a lot from it...

Well lastnight was odd...I took the .5 ....and I didnt really feel anything...I felt a teeny bit tired...and heavy droopy feeling, But still really anxious...and I was up until 4am...So idk what to do about that one...The .25 worked!!! but not the .5??

I took it around 8:45...watched tv....felt tired and anxious until 11pm then really anxious...and not tired anymore around 11:30... and from then until 4am I felt really nervous and anxious...idk?

i'm so glad to hear that you took that step. i know how you feel. i've been there with other medications and had really bad trips myself. but, it's a journey in finding a better treatment, so we can feel better in life. sometimes, we go through the bad ones before finding the good ones, in terms of medications. it's like that for a lot of medical conditions. you have a lot of courage. glad you're feeling better.
