So I have a question, my girlfriend has constant muscle spasms from every antipsychotic she's tried risperdone, geodon, latuda, saphris and now she's on ablify. Her pdoc days cogetin only masks the issues of movement disorders and delays the onset. Is this true? He said it's a stronger benadryl. She thinks the twitching started with the risperdone her first AP

I really don't know if what your dr is saying is correct but I was on cogentin, back in the day, when I was taking thorazine. It really helped and I have no movement problems now on ability. Good Luck

It sounds like akathisia. Cogentin does work very well for akathisia. It is an anti Parkinson med often used to combat akathisia from aps.
