(Not a psych med but taken with them).
My drs. have agreed that I can try metformin to help with weight gain and trying to get healthier labs. I'm just curious what others have experienced with it. I'm not going to start it for a little while as I just went through an enormous med change and need my body to recover from that first. But I still want to learn about it while I'm waiting. Thanks!

It is known to help prevent weight gain/help with weight loss in people who do not have diabetes but are taking anti-psychotics. The weight loss effects seem less in diabetics. It also helps with metabolic syndrome which is a big risk with APs.
