I have to take Latuda three times a day. I know you're supposed to eat with it. My IP dr told me I could just eat a piece of fruit with it but online info says it needs to be 350 calories!

What are some snack ideas for my nighttime dose?

A Cliff bar.

The eating and Latuda thing is difficult.
Thanks for this!

I always have a "backup" snack in case I can't figure out what I want to eat. That might be a good idea for you too.

Probably not the healthiest "snack", but 6 oreos gets you to 350 calories (yes, only 6 lol). That's my backup.

Otherwise, I sometimes break up my dinner. For example, instead of eating a whole dinner, I'll save a portion of it for my "snack" in the evening.

Half a turkey sandwich is about 350 cals.

It is a pain to eat enough (350calories) with Latuda. However, in a few weeks it will be the only med I take, so I can manage. Good luck. I just try to take it with dinner. It's easier than finding a big enough snack before bed.

Three times a day? Never heard of that with Latuda.

That's odd. Maybe it's a new way to take it?

I will not assume you are of any weight, so if you need to put on a little, I guess you just need a caloric snack at night, but if you don't intend to gain, it probably would be better to save from dinner and eat later on.

I always found that just some yogurt was just fine. Or a Luna bar. Not 350 calories, but the med was still perfectly effective for me.
Thanks for this!

I get not wanting to gain but the absorption according to latuda website can be compromised without 350 calories.

My pdoc said it could even be once a day, talk to your doc if you're having issues eating enough with it. 3 times a day seems excessive.
