I am on a low dose, 100 mg of seroquel to help with sleep. I also take klonopin and lunesta. Today I decided to skip the seroquel and I can't fall asleep. Is this to be expected?? Even though I was given the 100 mg right off the start is it a drug that needs to be tapered?

Anyone with experience?

Thank you so much
Thanks for this!

I have experience with trying to come off Seroquel. When I stopped it, the insomnia was terrible. I have never experienced such bad insomnia. I now take 50mg/Seroquel (for sleep) & when I decide I want to try to stop it, I'm going to titrate down very, very slowly.

I am not looking forward to it.

I had no idea, when I went on Seroquel, that it was so physically addictive.

Yuck!!! Thank you for the response. Maybe I'll go take a half and see if that helps.

Thank you again!

I have been on Seroquel for a number of years. On a couple of nights in that time I didnt take my nightly dose of Seroquel and I didnt get any sleep either.

I was on 4mg of Klonolpin and 100 mg of Seroquel. I am now off the K'pin and I starting to drop the dose of Seroquel. I know I wont sleep if I stop cold turkey so am dropping it by 25mg per month so I my sleeping patterns can adjust itself.

Last night I took my first dose of 75mg at night. My sleep wasn't that good but I need time for things to adjust.

Take things easy Bird Feeder. Our bodies took time to adjust to this medication. It needs time to move out of our systems. Slow and steady wins the race.
Thanks for this!

I came off 200mg in two weeks due to a rapidly increase in side effects. I ended up having so little sleep I was psychotic seeing and hearing things and ended up extremely manic. I would be real careful coming off it too quick
