Hey, everyone. Has anyone tried treating akathisia with propranolol? What were your results?

It did not work for me because my blood pressure fell to 80/40. If your normal blood pressure is already lowish, this route does not work. Cogentin is then a better option. But if you do not have low blood pressure and can tolerate lower blood pressure from Propranolol, it is worth trying - the medication is one of the oldest there is.

When I first took it, propanolol took the edge off my anxiety. It never did anything to relieve akathesia. For that, my pdoc has put me on cogentin.
