I used to be on 300mg for neuropathic pain. It wasn't even that bad and the only reason I accepted it was because my seizures have been coming back to a level where I felt like I needed to go back onto something and my neurologist won't see me unless I have another grand mal.

It did okay for that and the pain but my podiatrist wanted to try 600 to get rid of all the pain, like that would ever happen. I started getting these weird headaches, I get headaches everyday but these were different. My normal headaches go from the front of my head to my back, around behind my ears and down to my jaw. It is a dull achy sort of pain. This new headache starts at the top of my head, goes down my face, including my eyes, and settles into my teeth and it is varying from throbbing to stabby feeling. It took a few weeks to really pay attention to the new headache because it was fairly mild at first and my head hurts all the time anyway. They got bad enough for me to more than take note of and I am prescribed Fiorocet for my headaches and it did absolutely nothing for this new headache.

I shot an email to my doctor saying that I am cutting back down to 300 and after a day, the new headache pain is noticeably less so that is good.

The neuropathic pain might be really painful, I don't know. It is minor relative to my normal stuff and it takes a massive amount of pain for me to notice anymore. A few weeks ago, I was moving a bunch of old boxes around and somehow ripped a chunk of skin off my finger. I didn't notice any pain whatsoever. The only reason I knew it happened was that I eventually saw the dried blood on my hand. Crazy, right? I guess I am just numb but these headaches put me down hard. I would take nerve pain every day and twice on Sunday instead of a single day of these headaches.

Also, I have gained 10 pounds of the 50 I recently lost and that is pushing my MH issues hard so I might cut it out completely, but the weight gain didn't start until I was on the 600 so hopefully it will reverse itself.

The point of this long mess is to see if anyone has had a similar experience with this drug.
