I started Wellbutrin a couple weeks ago, and the last few days I've noticed I've been easily angered and very irritable. Is this because of the medicine? Or is it something else?

I've taken it for years and haven't noticed that kind of side effect. It might not have kicked in yet. I say that because anger and irritability can be symptoms of depression.

Anybody else?

P.S. I like cats, too.

I've taken it for years with no problems, but I've heard of some people experiencing irritability.

I took the name brand for years and it was great...the best I've ever been on....then it went generic and I was psychotic and hospitalized. I was irritable and angry...

It took two months though from the time it went generic to the time I went psychotic. I went back on the name brand and was fine.

It definitely seemed to make me irritable and angry, but I didn't stay on it long enough to really find out if this was a true adverse effect or just coincidence.
