I have been on 50g Zoloft/sertraline almost 6 months now for depression/anxiety and on the whole it's been a good experience. My depression (situational) is much better, and I have had relatively few side effects on this med.
However one thing I had noticed is light-headedness (most commonly when exercising), and last night I wasn't doing much at all but I was feeling quite wobbly and faint so I thought I'd check my BP with a home unit as I wondered if it was low. Well, my BP was well within normal range but I was surprised to see my pulse/heart-rate quite a bit lower than previously. I'm normally 60-70 bpm, which is lower end of normal but healthy for my age range, I'm fairly active so that is to be expected. Last night it was reading 53, then a while later 50, today I measured 57 then 52, so overall the trend is low (anything below 60bpm is regarded as bradycardia apparently). I will be seeing my GP to discuss tapering off this week and will raise the subject of my lowered bpm but wondered in the meantime if anyone else has experienced this with this med? |

Yes!! But in my case, it's a good thing. My bp was trending higher and I was in that borderline hypertensive are where they wanted to start me on meds. With sertraline, my bp is in the normal range, most of the time.

That's weird, I normally have high heart rate and I was suspecting it might be the meds. I've taken Zoloft for years but my heart rate kept being high, bordering on tachycardia.
However, obviously everyone has a different experience.
