Hi.

I was prescribed sertraline at a start dose of 25mg which will be upped next week...

The doc did say it will probably cause nausea- no kidding!
How long does this usually last?

My kiddo is off for 6 weeks summer holidays and I feel very nauseous - I don't want to cancel some of our days out, but rollercoasters and nausea just are not a great mix...

I think it only lasted for a few days with me. A week at the most. So it shouldn't interfere with your plans

It was a good med for me though. I hope it helps
Thanks for this!

For me it was only a few days to a week the first time I was on it. The second time I don't remember any side effects.
Thanks for this!

I didn't actually get any nausea at all, a little dizziness first few weeks nothing too bad actually.

Hope it works as well for you as it did for me.
Thanks for this!

I took it for 20 years! It was a good med for me. I think all initial side effects wore off within a week or two.

I DO remember the nausea and it definitely went away completely. The drowsiness went away, too.

Good luck
Thanks for this!

Well, the nausea is better, I found ice poles good.
I'm due to go back tomorrow to have the dose increased (although I still have a few days of the lower dose to go)
