Hi,
I'm so stressed right now, i don't know what to do.

I'm being admitted into hospital for some intensive therapy in less than two weeks. I've ceased my use of diazepam (3 years daily use-age, been a month~ with 0 benzos)

However tonight, things are horrible - i'm in a bad place (not benzo w/d don't worry)
So, i have some xanax/alprazolam at my disposal, and it's the only thing i can think to avert trouble tonight. My only reseveration is i STOPPED benzos so that i could have my cognition on full-form.. I don't want to jeperodize that by taking an xanax, as i've read the cognitive difficulties can last months from xanax.

Would a single dose of 0.5mg cause a decline in cognitive ability over the next month? I really need something, family are freaked out by how i'm acting and threatening to call an ambulance.

thanks
C5

I wouldn't think a single dose would hurt. I take a very low dose every day. I'm a little less sharp, but I took Klonipin for years, so I think my brain is fried.

How about trying half a dose to see if that helps?
Thanks for this!

Hey if your in a hospital you'll be in good hands. Just don't take the benzos unless you have to.
